Stitch Fix - October 2015!

Finally got around to creating a blog for all the stuff I send to myself in the mail! YAY!!

Received my SECOND Stitch Fix in the mail yesterday and was completely and totally DELIGHTED to open it up. For anyone new to Stitch Fix, it's a subscription service where you fill out a questionnaire about your style and body type and a stylist will send you 5 items for you to try on. You return the items you don't want and keep the ones you do. Simple enough, right? Styling fee is $20, but that fee goes towards anything you decide to keep.

I personally elected to get a "Fix" every other month, but you can always add or remove them depending on what you need. For me, it is around the 2 month mark where I start staring blankly into my closet and a tiny despairing voice starts to scream about having nothing to wear... so yes. Every other month it is!

=== This month I received: ====

Brand: Dahlya
Shelba Faux Leather Hem Dolman Knit Top ($54) - RETURNED

I really liked this top and especially the faux leather detail, but it was a bit too boxy and long on me. I'm pretty equal leg to torso ratio, so really , boxy, long shirts make me look like I have stubby legs! Really LOVED the leather detail though...definitely clued me in that faux leather is kind of trending right now..

Brand: Adrianna Papell
Tella Dress ($128) - RETURNED
For work dresses, I try to keep in just "under $100" range, and though this one is supposed to be versatile - it isn't for me. The length hits me mid-calf and I wasn't a fan of the clingy material.

Brand: Papermoon
Soldano Scallop Trim Blouse ($44) - KEEPSIES!

I LOVE PAPERMOON! What is Papermoon, you ask? Well, I definitely didn't know until I saw this top, loved it, went online to find what else they had and realized that they have an AWESOME lookbook..but only sell to retailers. Womp face.
I absolutely loved the scallop trim and the length is perfect for either tucking in or leaving it untucked (on big belly days). Great find for a great new shirt and a new brand that I hadn't heard of!

Brand: Market & Spruce
Leiden Asymmetrical Jacket ($64) - KEEPSIE-CAKES!

I love this jacket! It's right up there..trending with the collarless tops/blouses/jackets/and coats and pairs with almost everything I own since it's a nice neutral grey. It isn't a heavy jacket by any means, but it is perfect for San Francisco weather! I wanted to get this in a size XS, but haven't heard back from StitchFix on if that's possible.. I kept the size S for now though -- gives me room to grow!

Brand: Henry & Belle
Abana Skinny Jean ($148) - BEGRUDGINGLY RETURNED
I loved everything about these jeans except the price ($148!!) -- I almost bit the bullet on these since it's difficult to find low-rise + skinny fit that doesn't make me feel like a tamale..But despite my pleading, my bank account said no. ::sad face::

Overall, it was a great Stitch Fix! I would (and have been) referring all of my friends that might need some help in the shopping department. When you work 50-60 hours a week, are a single parent to your very own furbaby (read: dog)...Stitch Fix has been a huge help in saving me time and keeping my style-game on track.
